Hello, I am Gary Myers.  I am the owner of Blue Ridge Business Services in Stanardsville, Virginia.  I am a CPA; a member of the American Institute of CPAs.  I am also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).  I retired in 2004 after 26 years as an auditor with Virginia's Auditor of Public Accounts.  In that position, I performed financial and compliance audits and information security audits of state agencies; mainly public higher education institutions including the University of Virginia, UVa Medical Center, James Madison University, and George Mason University. 

In 1990 I started my small, home-based accounting practice, Blue Ridge Business Services.  Primarily, I maintain accounting records for small businesses including retail establishments, construction contractors, landscape designers, farmers, churches and other religeous organizations, hair salons, etc.  I also consult and prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns for these types of businesses.  Finally, I am a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, where I assist other small businesses in setting up and maintaining QuickBooks accounting records.

When not crunching numbers, I enjoy woodworking, agriculture, and touring on my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle.
